Korean culture

Hello. Firstly, thanks for creating such a platform for people. Happy 2023!

In my previous posts, I wrote about stuff like emotional support, spirituality, etc. After my spiritual experiences, and learning a ton about emotional intelligence, I wondered what can I do the next? I mean, what's the next step in my growth journey that can serve both me and others? I didn't want to be too much self centered, but I wanted to find or create a purpose that's aligned with my soul. This soul searching wasn't easy at all, there were and are lots of challenges.

I found out that I really like Korean culture. Not just K-Pop, but also its history, economy, nature, everything. But most importantly, it's language. Korean language. I have taught myself its alphabet, its some vocabulary. Of course I am far from perfect and I do lots of mistakes. Hell, I even forget some letters. But it is very rewarding. This journey has no destination for me. This isn't just some new year resolution, since childhood I am interested in their culture.

How about you folks here? If you are interested in learning Korean language and discovering their culture through their language, please feel free to  drop a comment here. What do you appreciate in this culture? Do you find its alphabet hard?

If you want, we can study it together, or I can speak about how I learn it. Kinda like teaching, but teaching sounds too formal. Maybe a friendly, cozy atmosphere, sharing our appreciation together, like tips on how to pronounce that sound. But I need to say that it takes just a little bit time, and one needs to have passion + some time on a daily basis. But it can be done now, in a cozy way, I mean it shouldn't feel like sitting in a school, it shouldn't take itself very seriously as if one is studying linguistics.

English isn't my native language. Hope my post made sense.

Thanks for reading my post. Feel free to drop a comment

I also enjoy learning about other languages but I don't think I can commit to a study group. Would you be willing to post some guides? You can treat this like a mega-thread and continually post updates to it if you don't want to have to keep track of a bunch of different topics.

Also, is language your favorite thing about Korean culture?

I write simple sentences on Google Docs, highlight words there with different colors and study them. Can I share one sample with you? Sorry for late reply
