It's funny that I debated with my friend about divorce today. I agree with divorce being in our community because from my findings I realised that our mothers and grandmothers stayed in abusive/joyless marriages because it was sort of a taboo to hear that a woman divorced her husband because they believed that a man has a right to cheat because he's a provider and authoritative. And it was believed that it was a woman's right to keep a marriage nomatter the circumstances which is bullcrap to me. Therefore we're now in 21st century, women are now educated they can take care of themselves and there are also opportunities for women compared to back then. If you're treated like trash and they're not willing to change why stay? *Speaking in favour of women!

I'm with divorce. Despite its allowed in my religion. But i think it is a good solution I think the woman that suffers from abuse or a bad man or any big problem. She didn't be forced to live this life till the end of her life.

That's a pretty heavy topic It's very easy to choose sides if you only have each other but people often forget those with kids especially from the young ages. It has a very deep effect on them as well but the parents usually put them aside because they are dealing with their own problems. It's sad and traumatizing for the kids. Coming from a child whose parents were seperated

I have maybe a controversial opinion about this. I think we are coming to a point where the majority of people aren't in committed relationships. We can kind of see this happening already with hookup culture and the sheer amount of dramatic relationships. These are the kinds where they don't trust eachother, don't confide in eachother, and cheat on eachother a lot. Those are "committed relationships" in name only, and I think over time we'll just drop the facade. I still think they will exist, and I think the ones that do will be really awesome and cool. Without mental health interventions and healthy relationship advice, I don't see it being the norm. It stings, too, because love is lovely and it would be nice if everyone could have it.

Someone said that Marriage s just a peace of paper. I can half agree. I believe more in soulmates, companion and a partner that stays with you no matter what.
