Welcome to the first poetry contest, judged by you (at least initially)!

Please submit up to five (5) poems at one time in a docx. or PDF format in the comments. There is no content requirements nor restrictions on form; if you think we will enjoy it, post it! Please do not copy and paste content into the comments, as these will be printed and judged later. Additionally, please do not put your name or any identifying information on your submission. The initial judgement will be conducted by votes of recognition. After two roughly (2) weeks, December 15th, 2022, the top 10 poems (those with the most recognition), will be blindly judged by poet Brandon Courtney and selected as the winning poem.

VBSS Boarding Persian Gulf Operation Enduring Freedom, 2001

An assortment of photos from VBSS boardings in the Persian Gulf. This would have been November 18th, 2001. If you look closely, you can see a very broken and oily Brandon in the RHIB. I'm currently working on a memoir that explores this and so many other things!

Idea for a comic I'm doing, 'War and Famine"

Would anyone be interested in a comic where War and Famine (horsemen of the apocalypse) arrive on earth to find the humans got the apocalypse started without them. As a result, they have one-off adventures while trying to find a way to bring about the end times that the humans haven't already done themselves.
