Sitewide Update: Changes to Sub-Categories and Shops! (Updated 3/18)

Hello Islanders!

We have made some changes to the site, some noticeable and some.... less so.

You may have noticed we have shops now! This is still in beta so let us know if you run into any snags. We've been hard at work for this for a while, and they're still getting new features all the time.

Shops:
- Private and public sub-categories attached to your shop (and vice versa).

- Roles can be added to your shops (recognition split but with specific permissions and multiple users in one Role)

- Stock (no sales will go through if you run out of stock)

- Sales

- Image carousel for your listings

- We fixed some bugs that were causing your forms and listings to not save / erase progress during the shop creation stage

- We updated the design!

- We can now remove shops

Rewards:

- You won't be stepping on eachothers toes when obtaining Recognition from Rewards anymore!

Sub-Categories:

- Your sub-category descriptions can now be as long as you want!

- You can have a custom banner for your sub-category! (We are still updating this)

- You can see how many people are following a sub-category and how much Recognition has been exchanged there!

- Coming soon: You'll be able to see the top adjectives used to rate other users in the description

- We have updated the banner uploading process so you can crop the image you're using

- You can now request access to a private sub-category from a link to that specific sub-category

Minor - Warning
1. Failing to utilize site designations correctly (we should anticipate most new users will need some direction here. The site designations can be confusing at first).
2. Posting someone else's content without citing a source / indicating it is Not OC (Not original content)
3. Spamming Comments
4. Inappropriate username / avatar

Medium - Bans: 1 day to 1 week
1. Speech that is attacking individuals or groups
2. Failing to adjust accordingly following repeated warnings
3. Attempting to steal the content from other users for financial gain
4. Posting NSFW content outside of a NSFW designated sub-category

Major - Block, Site-wide Block
1. Failing to adjust accordingly following repeated bans
2. Scamming others / Posting links to Phishing or harmful sites
3. Impersonating another individual, or pretending to represent an organization

#Hellbound

Have you watched Hellbound on Netflix?. It was actually a good watch and still waiting for the Second season if there is. So, just a little background about it, Hellbound is actually a Korean Fantasy, a more like supernatural Series. There was a supernatural phenomenon that kills people who have 'sinned', however, there was a question in the series, the phenomenon had killed a newborn, which of course had never sin so it was a mystery why that's the case and still bugs me as to why. It was also a good point to see where faith and a 'disguised' faith clash, you'd see a more in-depth scenes on a faith that turned into a cult-like behavior.

If you could remove 1 job from society, what would that be?

I'd remove the people who give out parking tickets. Just let me park wherever i want, what value do you add to society? Do i really deserve to pay a fine for taking up 3 spaces?
