This fear of black cats appears to stem from medieval times, when an animal with dark feathers or fur, including crows and ravens, signaled death. In 16th-century Italy, it was believed that death was imminent if a black cat would lay on someone's sickbed. In modern-day North America, negative connotations continue to haunt black cats: It’s considered bad luck if a black cat crosses your path, and good luck if a white cat crosses your path. Another family member is bound to die if you spot a black cat during a funeral procession. And it's a bad omen if you see a black cat walking away from you. Fortunately, all these ideas are just superstition.

Oh wow! That could be ridiculous history. Well, some superstitions I could always remember about cats from our forefathers, is that cats have 9 lives. And if you are the owner you must be lucky because they save you from dangers as they have 9 lives keep. Since then, I considered it good to have cats.

Black cats are also guides to the spiritual world i mean most of the cats but black cats are special because they can guide us even in Underworld.

true, but in some countries if you saw a black cat passing by you it's a brings you good luck.

Some people in my country believe that having black cats in the house is interesting because they are thought to ward off bad luck.
