Sometimes I find it hard to open up to someone since I am not sure if they can be trusted. Reply

Try talking into a stranger. They say these are the people who will listen and not judge you at same time.

Personally I don't trust anyone who has to insist on every good quality they have. "I'm a really honest person", "I'm just being honest", "Again, if you know me, you know how honest I am". Big red flag. IMO honest people don't have to tell you over and over again that they are honest. From what I've seen they are using that to justify the times they haven't been honest, and are trying to instill that in you so they can use their deception more freely because they think you won't be looking for it if you know how honest they are.

- Will be consistent in their words and actions. - They will keep their promises and follow through on their commitments. - Will be honest with you, even when it's difficult. They will not lie to you or deceive you. - has strong moral principles and will act in accordance with those principles. They will not do anything that they believe is wrong, even if it benefits them. - Will respect you and your boundaries. They will not take advantage of you or violate your trust. Accountability: A trustworthy person is willing to take responsibility for their actions. They will not blame others for their mistakes. - Is open and transparent with you. They will not hide things from you or keep secrets

I agree with this. Sometimes it's a lot easier to say what you feel to people who don't know you. You'll even get the best advice if you're lucky.
