What's your favorite book you've ever read?

Mine has got to be Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. I had to read it in 2 weeks because there was a book report coming up, and for most people that alone could ruin a book. For me, though, it made me love it even more. I was under so much pressure, but it's just such a good book that it didn't matter

Haven't read Mistborn, is it about someone under a lot of pressure?
The first book that made me really enjoy reading as a teenager was The Catcher in the Rye. I liked how he spent most of his time making up fantasies in his head and pretending different things were happening. Good glimpse into someone with an acute identity crisis.

Mistborn is a fantasy heist story where the gang has to take down a tyrant who's been alive for 1000 years. Everyone has their own magic ability which makes learning about the magic system really fun.

It's not really about someone being under pressure, it was just such a good book that i didn't care that i was under a lot of pressure

Mine is The Secret History or The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. One feels like it was probably the best and the other feels like it was made for me. I've read Mistborn and also loved it, but have never read the Catcher in the Rye

I loved the Hogfather by Terry Pratchet. Santa Claus is in the process of being forgotten and can't fulfill his duties, so Death takes over for him. There are a lot of really good and memorable quotes. Everything the Death character says is instantly iconic.
- one part where Death is visiting a store as their Santa and giving kids gifts. He gives a little girl a sword.
Mother - "You can't give her a sword!"
Death - "It's educational"
Mother - "But she'll hurt herself with it!"
Death - "That is a very important lesson"
