Free ATV classes this summer (Terre Haute, IN)

"BRAZIL, Ind. (WTHI) - According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, kids make up more than 1 in 5 ATV deaths a year. The Indiana Sheriffs' Youth Ranch is offering safety education this summer.

The classes will start during free leadership camps for those interested in law enforcement or firefighting. Applications for July camps will be available May 1.

You can apply at schools and public safety agencies in the following counties: Clay, Greene, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo."

Clothing giveaway. April 22nd 2023, Deming Park. Terre Haute, IN

Hello!

I'm putting together a clothing giveaway for April 22nd, 2023 from 10:00am - 12:00pm.

We will be at the stage at Deming Park, which is important because we will have live music!

The band name is Dying in the Midwest, so send them some love!

These are the items we have at this time, a huge thank you to everyone who donated last time!

If you have some extra clothes to give away: please post a description in the comments of what you're bringing and plan to arrive an hour early. Everyone who does this will receive a free Recognition on their comment. (If you're not from around here: when you receive at least 30 Recognition you can withdraw it from the site as cash).

if you want to reserve clothing from the main list: please leave a comment indicating which clothing item you'd like to reserve. These will be set aside for you, but be prepared to prove it is your account by bringing a device and clicking Account, or sharing a screenshot showing the same.

Welcome to the first poetry contest, judged by you (at least initially)!

Please submit up to five (5) poems at one time in a docx. or PDF format in the comments. There is no content requirements nor restrictions on form; if you think we will enjoy it, post it! Please do not copy and paste content into the comments, as these will be printed and judged later. Additionally, please do not put your name or any identifying information on your submission. The initial judgement will be conducted by votes of recognition. After two roughly (2) weeks, December 15th, 2022, the top 10 poems (those with the most recognition), will be blindly judged by poet Brandon Courtney and selected as the winning poem.

VBSS Boarding Persian Gulf Operation Enduring Freedom, 2001

An assortment of photos from VBSS boardings in the Persian Gulf. This would have been November 18th, 2001. If you look closely, you can see a very broken and oily Brandon in the RHIB. I'm currently working on a memoir that explores this and so many other things!
